We had the 24th Hakuunkai practical practice session with Shodokan members yesterday on August 19th.
Even though it was a very hot day, five members from far away participated in the session.

First, Okada Sensei talked about "Aiki" in his regular monthly lecture.
What is necessary to practice to impress the opponent?
Even in basic practice, it is important to try to do Motodachi, which draws out the opponent, and to raise your "Ki" together with the opponent.
With these points in mind, we practiced basic strikes and 1.5 minute Ji-geiko in groups of three.
After that, we practiced with each other. About 20 people participated in and it was a very fulfilling practice session.
After the practice, we celebrated Mr. Naito's 7th Dan promotion.
